Sam Powell, raised outside Dover, Delaware earned her bachelors degree in photojournalism from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. She worked for the college in the area of campus media support including, but not limited to, traditional/digital photography and digital image manipulation/restoration. Sam and Jen, her life partner of over 14 years live in Chicago's West Loop. They have a strong sense of commitment to family and friends, and can be seen regularly attending weekly dinner nights with Friends who share hosting responsibilities and Friday Nights with their Family. They have two cats and a "Sunflower Yellow" 2005 VW Beetle.

| While in the Chicago area visiting family, i learned of the need for 2 family members to relocate. Seeing they were both up in age i suggested a 2 flat purchase. | Unbelievable - that's the only word that adequately describes my experience with Sam. She was unbelievably patient of my running all over the city. Being new to Chicago, I wasn't sure what neighborhood I wanted to live in and I really wanted to explore. Sam showed me properties I wanted to see in the far north, far south and way far west, and everywhere in between!! I felt like I was running her ragged but she was totally willing and actually excited to run with me! In one day, we saw 26 properties in three completely different neighborhoods!! When it came time to close on my transaction, with a very difficult Seller, Sam was the calming influence while I was completely freaking out. She wasn't going to stop until I was totally comfortable and thrilled with my choice!! It didn't matter if it took a day or a year, she was going to be with me every step of the way. In service industries, it's hard to find someone who really WANTS to help, and who actually enjoys what they do. Sam is far and above the best agent I have ever encountered.
